Hi dearies!
Today, I want to share some oral-care products you can find at Watsons!
Keeping your mouth clean and healthy isn't just about brushing your teeth every day. Proper care for your teeth, gums, and tongue is essential to prevent issues like cavities, bad breath, and other health problems.
So, brushing your teeth and using toothpaste are the basics of oral-care. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth at least twice a day, but we also need additional items to maintain optimal oral-health. This way, your smile will stay bright and beautiful.
For kids, especially those with braces like mine, it's important to take extra care of your teeth, brackets, and gums. Here's how to get started with a good oral-care routine!
1. Mouthwash
Why I like it: Travel-friendly, freshens breath.
- Use mouthwash as the final step in cleaning your mouth. First, brush your teeth, clean between your teeth and your tongue, then rinse with mouthwash to freshen your breath and keep your mouth clean.
2. Inter-dental Brush
Why I like it: Effectively removes food debris between teeth and braces.
- This is especially important for kids with braces because food can get stuck in the gaps between your teeth and brackets. Regular toothbrushes might not get it all out. Even if you don't have braces, an inter-dental brush helps keep your teeth cleaner!
3. Dental Floss – Round Pick
Why I like it: Works like a tongue scraper and removes food debris between teeth.
- Did you know that food stuck on your tongue can cause bad breath? Bad breath can lower confidence, so cleaning your tongue is really important. Use a round dental floss pick to gently clean your tongue until the food is gone. Just be careful not to hurt yourself!
4. Dental Floss – Flat Thread
Why I like it: Removes plaque and food debris from tight spaces between teeth.
- This works similarly to the round pick but is better for cleaning between tightly spaced teeth.
1. Brush teeth with toothbrush and toothpaste.
2. Use inter-dental brush to clean between teeth.
3. Floss teeth and clean the tongue.
4. Rinse with mouthwash for a fresh, clean mouth.
For a whiter smile and fresher breath, don't forget to visit the dentist at least twice a year!
Brush your teeth and clean your mouth after every meal, especially after eating heavy foods. But wait for about 30 minutes after eating before you brush your teeth.
